Puerto Rico I guess. Since they're already U.S. citizens anyway they might as well incorporate PR into the union.

I don't know that we need a 51st state, to be completely honest with you. But in fairness to the voters of D.C., if we were going to add another state no matter what, it should be New Columbia, which consists of the current District of Columbia, less a small area for the seat of the federal government as required by the Constitution.

In 20 years there will only be 45 States. California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas will be part of Mexico, and the Democrats in Congress are working on legislation to give Hawaii back to native Hawaiians.
But probably somewhere there are environmental wacko politicians who want to give Alaska back to grizzly bears and Florida back to aligators. Heck if people keep voting Democrat there might not be anything left at all.

the place's the question? Puerto Rico could be the 51st state, yet they are able to work out how dysfunctional our govenment has grow to be, and that i doubt that the PR voters will vote for it of their next election.

Porto Rico should be and have requested to become a state instead of a colony. The country doesn't receive the same amount of support than if it were a state. They also have one representation in congress, but cannot vote on domestic issues.
