Depends which model........since the demise of the Lotus Espirit, Lotus doesnt build any cars that compete with Ferrari's Line up (or vice versa). The Espirit and its rival at that time (1998), the F355, were both pretty equally pegged, topping out at 175-180mph depending on the year and edition, and going 0-60 in 4.6 seconds. Since then, the fastest Lotus car is the Exige that does 151mph and 0-60 in 4.7 secs, while Ferrari's fastest, the Enzo, does 218mph (whoa!) and 0-60 in 3.4.

Depends on the model, however the power to weight ratio of the lotus exige leaves the ferrari 360 for dust. In theory the lotus would be quicker initailly, but because of the larger displacement of the Ferrari engine ( V8 as opposed to the lotus' supercharged 4 pot) it would soon catch up and accelerate past the Lotus.

Ferrari's are much faster. Look at the specs. The Lotus Elise only has 190 bhp. Some models of Ferrari have double that.

Although a Lotus is a very fast car, it ia not as fast as any current ferrari. This is not surprizing as the cheapest ferrari is about $180000 and the highest priced lotus in America is the $50000 Exige.

Depends … who is driving … Anyway you should not compare any four cylinder car to Ferrari. Lotus is a nice looking car (some people think so) but it is not fast car.

Ferraris tend to have very high top speeds these days, higher than the Lotus, but many Lotus' are track-cars, which can lap a twisty circuit quicker than a heavier, bigger-engined, luxury-stuffed Grand -Tourer.
Have driven both, both great fun!
