To Chef now yo.
YOU are talking through your hole. Being Irish and having watched the dirty scum bag English hooligans come over to my Country and smash our stadium up and put countless people in hospital after England went - 1-0 down in 1994, i got to see first hand what the media repeatedly get the blame for in England. How can you even try to defend that kind of behaviour. You can't.Yes .i agree the loss of the Leeds fan in turkey was very sad, but does it give You the right to intimidate and vandalise wherever you go. Travel abroad with any other nation and watch everyone take step back when all the English thugs arrive. You can't justify football hooliganism and as a Brit you should look a bit closer to home before criticising other nations. Blame everybody but yourself. Some of my closest friends and family are English and agree with me entirely

This is pure tribalism mixed with an ill-informed view of other countries.
The football is incidental to the trouble - to coin a phrase "it's only an excuse".
As a Scot (although not a football fan) I am far more proud of our football fans than I would be of our team EVEN if they won the world cup.
I honestly believe that if you are convicted of football related violence you should have to report to a holding point EVERY time there is a domestic game AND lose the right to foreign travel during tournaments (and I would hope countries would ban offenders from entering at any time for a few years).
This might seem harsh but it has to be stamped out.

I think that people should stop being so stereotypical of English football supporters and what they do abroad.
Yes, there are a minority of 'zenephobic supporters', who are not racist, facist etc, who act in a derogatory manner when travelling to foreign shores.
What would of happened if a Turkish supporter (for arguments sake) would have been stabbed to death in Leeds(for arguments sake!!!) by a Leeds United supporter?
English club teams and probably England would have been banned by FIFA/UEFA for at least 5 years from competetive football!!
What happened in Turkey? Nothing!!!
HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN ABOUT THIS, OR ARE YOU ALL JUST THINKING ABOUT HOW BAD ENGLAND ARE BECAUSE IT'S TOPICAL NOW?!!!
LOOK FROM OUTSIDE OF YOUR BLINKERS AND INTO THE REST OF THE WORLD OF FOOTBALL YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT AND UNDERSTAND THAT ITS GLOBAL AND WILL NEVER BE STOPPED!!!
WE ARE FAR FROM BEING THE WORST, SO WAKE UP AND GO TO FOOTBALL AND TRY TO UNDERSTAND!!
Sorry to the family and friends of the innocent young man who unnecessarily gave his life in Turkey, but I think people need to realise.
God Bless.

ignorant ,selfish, pig headed?...... I think these all provide simple answer to a extremley complex problem, it starts in homes, minds, and anywhere in which it is allowed. Its a sad sad reality for world soccer and even more sad for the great fans of England to be put in the same category as these attention starved idiots. Great job in the cup so far England.

It is a smug sense of superiority that gives these people the idea that they have a divine right to xenophobia. Hopefully with the current shift in football marketing these louts will die off gradually.

It sickens me too. This kind of behaviour is similar to the loutish behaviour we see every weekend in this country. Basically these people are selfish thugs who care for nothing or no one but their own pleasure. Why can't the rest of us be allowed to get on with our lives in peace?

The english have an "invading" gene. They are thugs and sh#t on everone. They are arrogant and vicious. They cant stand to lose anything so have tantrums. Most countries despise them.

blame the media the whole event is hyped up by big business & the politicians love it because it distracts people's attention from their own loutish behaviour & what's really important in the world i.e.Global Warming & the impending World War etc
