I know this sounds crazy, but take off your engagement ring and gently rub the band over the sty. It will be gone tomorrow. My mom did this when I was little and I did it for my daughter and it always worked.

Apply warm compresses for 10 minutes 4 times a day. Do not squeeze it- let it drain on its own. It will usually drain on its own in about 2 days. Antibiotic ointment, or an antibiotic-steroid combination, can be used until symptoms have cleared. If the stye lasts more than 3 days or the infection appears to be spreading, please bring her to the doctor.

To put your 8 month old's eye out? Why on earth would you want to do such a thing?

Ah, yes... sorry, you meant the sty... I have no idea.

Good luck!

Johnson & Johnson NO MORE TEARS Shampoo. Just a tiny lil bit on a -tip. I did it to my eye before I did it to my son's, just so I knew what to expect. Of course he didn't like me touching his eye, but it doesn't even sting. He was 4 when I had to do it, very hard to control him then!! I hope your 8 mos old is easier. Good Luck!! Heather :)

if shes less than a year, you really shouldent try and care for this yourself. she could be having an internal alergic reaction, or any number of problems where her body is so much smaller than that of a normal child or adult.
