Right, it is public information thru the government, which taxes the property. In our area it is called the PVA (Property Value Administration). They assess all property for tax purposes. Not every city has this info on computer. And if it is on computer, somtimes not ALL info is freely available to the public. That is because government offices sometimes charge a fee for this info to people like real estate agents who use the info to their benefit. In our area, the public library is the best place to look for this info because they pay an annual fee to subscribe to the site to get full access to information about taxes and property.

go to your county web site and look for a" public records" link all property ownership is public knowledge

go to your county's homepage. there will be a property tax roster showing all property, owners and appraised value
