Am i stupid if i have different beliefs? if no, then why am i being made fun of.?

You are not 'stupid' to have different beliefs. People make fun of things they don't know or understand to make themselves feel better and a part of a crowd, to have a sense of belonging. You are entitled to your beliefs and if you stand by them, you will develop many fine qualities, including strength of character, integrity, and perseverance. This, of course, also means that you can change your beliefs if you find something else makes more sense.

No you are not stupid. If you have different beliefs, I think it's great! Why be like everyone else? People make fun of people for stupid reasons, probably because they have no self esteem or they need to "be cool" in front of other's. I bet they don't have any of there own beliefs that are different, so I'd just not worry about it. I know easier said then done, but hang in there.

I don't know of course where you are from or anything about you, but if your an American then you have a bunch of solders over in Iraq and Afghanistan fighting for your right to have those different beliefs. You are absolutely not stupid. You are a human being. What separates human beings and animals is the ability to reason and have opinions. Some people are ignorant and that is why they make fun of you. People are afraid of things they don't understand. This will happen no matter how old you are. Sometimes, you just have to believe in what you believe in, and turn to that for strength and support.

The causes that make people laugh are numerous.
Among them is when they don't really understand what you mean.
This doesn't mean that you're wrong all the time.
Another case is that people laugh when someone just opens the mouth. This happens when you see Charlie Chaplin for instance.
People are easily conditionned to react similarly when facing the same stimulus.
This is what happens in your case ; people are eager to make fun of you because they are conditionned to.
Don't care of ; never show them they're right by trying to explain. Don't get nervous nor angry since they will never understand what you mean. Be indifferent is the best cold shower for them. One day your beliefs perhaps will become dogmas.

People make fun of people when a.) they do not understand the individual's differences or b.) the abuser is afraid of his/her own compatibility to the difference. An example is sexual prejudice. Gay-bashers... etc. These people do not understand the difference or the individual's ability to be "different" therefore abuse the individual. To defend yourself against abuse is to know your opponent. Is he/she afraid of your differences or are they just so stuck in their ways that they cannot accept a difference is available? Good luck. You will probably meet this ignorance for the rest of your life. Be strong in your beliefs and true to yourself.
