I don't mean like a live-in housekeeper, just someone who comes over and cooks, cleans and/or goes shopping a couple times a week.

We pay $80 every other week. House cleaning only and strangely enough we spend the evening before they come straighten things up to get ready ;->

My God-mother has her own housecleaning business and I believe she charges something like $30 a room. She cleans about 5 or 6 houses a week. Sounds like alot to charge people...but trust me...it's not. If people are willing to hire someone to clean their house...it's because they REALLY don't want to. lol.

I use to pay someone $25 an hour to clean my two-bedroom apartment. That included laundry (I have a washer & dryer in my partment), but it didn't include cooking.

Maximum time was 2 hours, twice a month.
