let me tell you about wal-mart....their big scheme is to build a walmart between two meduim sized towns...drop the prices really low so as to drive away all of the mom and pop businesses...once that is done, they tear down the first one, and build one in each of the towns...now everyone is dependant on walmart for the town's success so they cannot be driven out...then they raise the prices back to what the national norm is, which is too high, because they buy cheap from other countries and make about a 500% markup on everything...now add in automated checkers, so that the walmarts dont even provide enough jobs and that town is screwed, or will be several years down the road...so people start moving out cause cost of living is too high which leaves property prices really low so that houses can be torn down for apartments and starbucks and, you guessed it, more Walmarts...there is more than one reason why New Orleans has fought for years to keep Walmart out....but i bet they will be building there now....

Target is way better. If you like shopping with all the ghettoness, then go to wal-mart where they don't know the meaning of customer service. I'd rather pay the higher prices than deal with Wal-Marts bulls***.

Walmart has lower prices and has LAYAWAY, which let me tell you at Christmas time, or anytime for that matter is nice. Target may often have nicer quality products though-clothes, home decor, ect. It is a close call, but I think I will have to go with Walmart simply because I have more choices there.

I guess that depends on where you live. I live in S. Florida and we don't have self check out at Walmart. They are actually some very long lines to check out. So I prefer Target.

Electronics usually run a few dollars less at Target.
The Target by me is much cleaner then Walmart.
Target's books and video game sections dwarf Walmart.
Target has trendier and higher quality clothing for lower prices.

Target is better for an enjoyable family shopping trip.
The employees are much nicer, at least here in Huntsville, AL, at Target, than at Wal-Mart.
All in all, we do our shopping at Target for clothes and any other household items.
We shop at Wal-Mart for groceries.

All of the Wal-Marts in my area are kinda trashy- lower prices, yes, Subway, yes- but a little dirty. Target has nicer stuff, but more expensive, and they have Starbucks.

Target has harder to find items and their dvd's are always on sale. Their clothes are of better quality. However...they don't have hanes socks...As for food, who eats at either one? Whatever you decide, just don't go to K-mart...Evil Martha...
