Neither. I found them both to be dreadfully dull and unentertaining. I still have no idea why The Da Vinci Code caused such a riot, the writing is poor and the material has been debated and written about for centuries.

Absolutely Angels and Demons. They should have made this a movie instead of DaVinci Code! Angels has a better story, allot more plot twists and surprises. The action is fast and exciting, once you start this book it's near impossible to put it down. I also really liked Deception Point, another Dan Brown book which has nothing at all to do with ancient codes and secret societies.

"Angels and Demons". I enjoyed both this and "The DaVinci Code", but this one was more fun, and a bit more believable to me. It is fast paced and I couldn't put the book down. Vittoria Vetra is a good character and I think better than Sophie from DaVinci. If you have the book the title is actually and ambigram and reads identically right side up or upside down. This is a book you feel you really get involved in. I think DaVinci caused more controversy and thus gained the spotlight, but this earlier work is wonderful.

My vote is for Angels and Demons for the same reasons as previously stated. It is much more entertaining and readable than the DaVinci Code

I've not read either, but my little sister has and she loved them both.

Afterwards, she tracked down some more from Dan Brown and her opinion is that Angels and Demons is a much better book and would have made an even better movie.

Hope that this helps.

I would also have to say that although both of those Dan Brown books are entertaining and good reads, I prefer Angels and Demons of the two.

Both are great books. Da Vinci code just caused more controversy. I found that Angels and Demons was a little more fast paced and entertaining.

I liked both books and am still surprised that Angels and Demons didn't cause more controversy. However, for re-readability I vote Angels & Demons.
