Quickest way? Take some lessons from a regular guitar teacher.
Most fun way? Get with a group of guitar players and just jam
Cheapest way? Purchase an instruction book and work your way through it.
Guitar is really a fun instrument -- C,F and G are the folksingers friends. You'll be amazed at how many songs you can play with just these three chords.

the quickest way is to get a private teacher. he will use his time during the lessons only for you,and you can ask him if you dont get something. i learned to play guitar in about 9 months with my private teacher, practicing with him an hour every week, but i guess that if you studied more, you would learn faster.

By picking it up and trying to play a tune or song you love. Teach yourself tablature if you can't read music.

You can't learn quick....why are you wanting to learn quick buddy? Trying to impress someone? they have books and stuff even dvd's but you will still suck really bad.

practice every day on music that you hear a lot so that you can hear what you are doing right and what you are doing wrong
