Well first off if your "friend" is calling you stupid, you need to check into that first. No friend would call you stupid and mean it. As for the fact that she thinks you know everything, it can go both ways. Either you portray yourself in a way that makes her feel like you are superior to her, or for some reason she is not feeling your equal and takes it out on you. You really need to sit down with her and find out why she has these feelings towards you other wise the friendship is not going to last!

Of course "we" don't know everything. But it sounds like you may know more than your friend. If she has a problem with that then it is her problem. It takes too much unneccessary energy to try to convince her anything. Be yourself. You are SMART. Embrace it.
Speaking from experience: I was always the "know-it-all" and I saw that being smart made others uncomfortable, so over time if I knew something I wouldn't always let it be known because I wanted to be accepted. I now know that I want to be accepted for who I am and I, like you, like many am a smart person.
Do not downplay your intelligence for anyone. She doesn't sound like much of a friend anyway. If she was she wouldn't insult you.

Know one can know everything and the fact that you realise this is to your credit. Perhaps you should explain yourself in the same way. Or maybe you don't want to explain yourself and find a new friend

Don't try to be something your not. Sometimes when people ask me stuff I might say I don't know because I don't want to get into it with them. When you answer questions say, "I think," or in "my opinion." Don't answer questions like your answer is the ultimate truth (even if it is) And if they argue with you say, "that's an interesting point" or something like that instead of pushing your own point. Even if you don't agree with their point. Just let it go.
Good luck.

Tell her that she calling you stupid bothers you and if she still continues to do so break your friendship with her.

She is transferring her insecurities onto you...
If she is your friend you should be able to ask her not to call you stupid....as she would not like it if you called her stupid...

I don't think you're doing yourself or your friend any good like this. Why deny who you are. Don't deny God given talents. Get yourself a new friend and just be yourself!!

You dump her and find decent proper friends, this friend does not sound like a nice person & if she puts you down like that then she really isn't your friend

~ask her what she thinks first, then either agree or disagree. otherwise just tell her what you said here, if she doesn't stop she must not be a true friend.~
