Hi there, you can train your hamster. First, until she stops biting you need to wear gloves, that way when she bites it does not hurt. Second, be calm while holding your hamster. Hamsters tend to get excited very easy. Third, only hold her calmly for a few minutes at a time, this way your hamster gets used to your scent and your moods. Don't let other people or friends hold her until she calms down. Forth, always make sure your hands a clean and washed so there are no food scents and tastes on your hands. By following these steps, your hamster should start to get used to you and calm down over time, it will take a lot of patience. Get your hamster a "hamster ball" to roll around in and stay active and playful.

if the hamster is an adult it is too late. You need to buy a baby. Just be slow and don't move to fast. Also make sure your hands don't smell like food or anything. Just let the hamster come to you. If worse comes to worse. Just buy a new one, a baby and start slow with that one. Make sure you hold it a couple times a day everyday. I had a dwarf and it was tamed after a couple of months. It takes a lot of patience.

i have a couple dwarf hamsters
one of them is really mean.
From my experience i always see that the males are meaner then the females, maybe there tryin to protect theyre mate or something i dont know. I use a sock to get him out then i put him in a ball to roll around in then ill take him out and just hold him firm but not to the point where im choking him cuz some people do that. and i just pet him and do this everyday hes gotten better. if you leave them alone and never play with them theyll get used to that and wont want to be played with, so i just suggest playin with him and getttin something to get him out with if she bites you

if your hamster is an adult use gardenin gloves when handlin so you cant feel the bite that way you will be more relaxed. If you get all scared and jumpy when handlin her she can sense it and so she becomes mean and agressive but if your calm she will calm down to handle her more frequently so she isnt as scared of you.If it is still a baby you can tame it still so dont worry and just relax around her and you'll notice a diferance.

when you go to pick her up, have rubbing alcohol on ur hands beforehand. She might still bite you the first 2 or 3 times but after she gets that taste in her mouth, she wont bite you anymore. I have done this with pet mice. It works well and it wont hurt your animal!

our female dwarf hampster was nick named HAMPZILLA she was the meanest thing ever she would bite and draw blood. So we would get her out with a gardening glove and then put her in her exercise ball and then put her back in the cage. We got her as a baby and she was an absolute monster! She died after a year or so, and I still felt bad even though she was EVIL.

Dwarf hamsters are awful. They bite all the time, and even if you think they are friendly - watch out you will be bitten. I am surprised where ever you got her from did not warn you about them. They are evil!

leave it in its cage. I know that's not very much fun..but it's the best thing you can do. I have a rabbit that doesn't like being held, so we just let him be on his own..and pet him instead of holding him.
and if you put it on your bed, and it falls off..that's really risking it getting hurt or dying..so if you want to keep it, I'd say just leave it in it's house. it is, technically, a wild animal after all.
