Stay off it! Keep ice on it for a few minutes at a time. And maybe keep it elevated.

Awww I would supose that you fell or something. If you can walk on it, it's probably not broken. Maybe you tore a tendon or something. Is there any particular reason why you are avoiding the doctor? That is the best thing to do. But if you just can't get there take tylenol and try to stay off your ankle.

I have had both a broken ankle and tore a tendon before. They both really hurt bad but I could walk with pain on the torn tendon. I couldn't walk at all on the broken ankle.

Good Luck 2 ya

Go to a doctor. I know someone who got an ankle injury and kept walking on it because she could. It turned out to be fractured and she made it a whole lot worse by walking around on it and had to have surgery where they put metal in it.

Put warm water in the bathtub and get a bucket of half cold water and half ice. soak your foot in the warm water and pretend to draw the alphabet with your big toe. then after 5 minutes in the warm water put your foot in the ice water for 1 minute. then back in the warm water. Repeat this 3 times a day for a week and it should feel better.

I would suggest staying off your ankle until your ankle doesn't hurt anymore, or if your smart - see a Doctor

If it feels sore, like from activity, then keep it elevated and iced. You'll have to wait the injury out. If it is a sharp pain, maybe not brought on by activity, then you need to see a doctor.

Stay off of it and alternate ice and heat. If it doesn't feel better in a couple of days, see a doctor.

Ibuprophin, or tylenol for swelling and pain. Stay off it for a while. Give it at least 36 hours. If you are still in pain, Go see a doctor.

Go to the doctor's before you cause permanent damage to your ankle.

Just because something looks one way can mean another. It may be sprained or broken so my first suggestion to you is to visit your doctor and have an X-ray done
