I think you should get a second opinion. You might be earlier than the doctor thinks. If your hcg levels start dropping, then you know there is problem. Call your doctor and find out exactly what your hcg levels were and go see another doctor. I hope everything works out for you. Good luck and best wishes.

If he didn't see a heartbeat than either your child is hiding really good or you're not pregnant. When I was 7 wks you could see my child's heart beating wonderfully. But if your HGC levels are high than you should be pregnant unless the hormone is still running rampant in your body. That is really hard to know unless you are seen by a doctor.

If you have a dead child in your stomach I would worry about infection setting in. I would get seen by your OB doctor or another right away.

Good Luck and I hope everything is alright!

Okay, that is weird. Hasn't your doc called you in for a follow up? Why would that be the diagnosis? Were you trying to miscarry? Call your doc today and tell the receptionist just what you wrote here.

It sounds like you are going to have to be proactive to take care of yourself.

Usually you are safe after 13 weeks. I would maybe get a diffrent opinion. What was the reasoning for the doctors assumption?

Yes, you definately shoud. Or, you should go back and see your doctor again. He could have been wrong, or the baby could have died and still be in your stomach. It is very serious when this happens. You definately need to go back to the doctor. Good Luck!!
