How can we know for sure. Odds are fairly good 9/11 may not have happened. Even if it did, we would have invaded Afghanistan but we would have never fabricated the case to invade Iraq.

So 2500 families would have their sons and daughters and tax payers would not have sent $500B to Iraq, with that number growing by $8B a month. There would be no Zarqawi and no AlQueada in Iraq...

Thanks to the Invasion of Iraq, what we know about the Middle East now is the Taliban is growing in power in Afghanistan and Pakistan...The Muslim Brotherhood has gained power in Egypt...The Iranians may not have felt pressured to elect a hard line Ruler...Syria and Palestine would also not have felt the pressure to elect Islamic governments...Heck, Gore may have even held Saudi Arabia, Yemen and all our other Middle Eastern Allies to the same criteria we're holding Iran and Syria.

Instead of this ineffectual GOP controlled, House, Senate, Supreme Court and Presidency, we'd have another Clinton where the government worked together. Newt Gingrich met with Bill Clinton almost daily. To my knowledge, W has never met with Harry Reid alone...While the Democrats look to accomplish through concensus and inclusion, the GOP has fostered exclusion and dictatorial rule.

Unfortunately, we as Americans have paid the price for this ineefectiveness. Well except the Top 1% that benefited greatly from W's last Dividend Tax cut.

Interesting question that should get good feedback...However, my guess is you'll get the Coulter crowd that loves to deal in the world of insecurity, prejudice and fear mongering.

I would imagine we would not have went to war with Afghanistan or Iraq. Gore would not have the intestinal fortitude to do such a thing....

As for the idiot who thinks we have not had the constitution amended for almost 100 years, needs a bit of a history lesson...

The last Amendment to the Constitution was in 1992. It was to limit how congress gives it selves raises.

***"Amendment XXVII - Limiting Congressional Pay Increases. Ratified 5/7/1992.

No law, varying the compensation for the services of the Senators and Representatives, shall take effect, until an election of Representatives shall have intervened."***

Prior to that was the one in 1972 allowing people of the age of 18 to vote.
***"Amendment XXVI - Voting Age Set to 18 Years. Ratified 7/1/1971.

1. The right of citizens of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of age.

2. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation."***

I would bet the next one will be by 2008. It will be one defining that marriage is between one man and one woman. This would be because of the homosexual's using the courts to over-ride the states Constitutional amendments and Activist Judges.
We do need to maintain a standard of morality. Morality that God has given us.

911 would have still occurred, only nothing would be done in relaliation so more attacks would have occurred. Taxes would be increased to an even more ridiculous amount. The middle class would still be over looked, only the rich who provide jobs would not be given incentives, but the poorest would be given incentives to continue to receive money for doing nothing instead of being encouraged to work.
