Eventually, the breast implant may become hard like a rock, the body may form scar tissue around the implant which will result in requiring a procedure called a "closed capilostomy" which requires squeezing the breast until the scar tissue breaks up and becomes soft again. I have seen some cases where the body rejects the implant and literally "spits" it out through a nasty pus filled abcess. Given these examples, I would think that the implants would either have to be removed, requiring a "breast lift", or replaced. The breast lift may be necessary, because to put it nicely, ever see a sock with a lemon in it?

I will absolutely keep mine. In fact, I plan to have them replaced every 10 to 15 years until I just physically can't (I'm 30 now).
And, my friend's grandmother has implants that she had put in later in her life and still loves having them.
Have you ever seen a woman in the 50 to 70's age range that are all natural (naked I mean)? Not a pretty sight, I tell you!
Besides, I have a feeling that you think that all fake breasts are HUGE and that's why you think it's such a big deal. I can tell you from experience that not all fake ones are like that. Many of us that have them just wanted to look proportionate, not like a porn star.

There is a saying: The Grin of the Cat - which means that all we know about past civilizations is what we can peice together. We apply what we know today and try to draw conclusions about the past.
Can you imagine what people in the future - way in the future - may think when they unearth remains and find two plastic/saline bumb with bones?
I can imagine they'll think its some strange burial rite :)!
I know a woman who is an old stripper - OLD. Her breast stand up like she is 14, while the rest of her droops all about her. Its hilarious - but she is soooo proud of those high (hard) breasts. It looks ridiculous - god save us from plastic surgery!

I would not want to have DDs now or when I'm 60, but to each her own. Mine are a nice, perky, natural B-C. However, if those puppies ever start to hang down around my knees, like an orange in a tube sock, then you can be darn certain I'm getting them lifted, augmented, or whatever is necessary.

I hope they do!!!
And I think they will......
I mean, what woman in her 60's or 70's wants saggy breasts hanging anyway? If they have implants now, I hope they choose to keep them later in life, or at least "tweek" them so they don't sag.

I think 50's and 60's is still ok.. but 70's or 80's.. it will surely look weird having huge bumps sticking out of grandma's chest .. especially if her skin is extremely wrinkled and drooping all over.. that's definitely gross! ;)

Dear Stupid Person,
I have them in. I am 60 and have had them for 30 years. Did you think we would take a knife and cut them out. Any other wise suggestions?
