since some of u r saying that i should go for it, how exactly should i ask him out? keep in mind that i would be going to the middle school and he'd be @ an elementary skool so it might be awkward. it's also my best friend's, little brother's friend.

oh, girl, i am so glad it wasnt something more serious like,"my boyfreind and i wanna have sex" go for it girl. yea, others might give you a hard time, and when your young, you tend to take other's comments to heart. i know plenty of girls/women who have went out with younger guys (me for one). I am 32 and it seems like i have never went out with a guy who was my age or older (not rocking the cradle or anything). for example when i was 18, my boyfriend was 16! we stayed together for 5 years.

Okay first of all not to sound mean but honey you are only in the eighth grade you shoulnd't worry about asking a guy out. You have plenty of time for boys after you have taken care of school and you live for you first.

Go ahead and go for it.
Don't be like the way I was, I had a big crush on this one boy and he had a big crush on me, but I didn't want to go out with hime because he was 2 years younger than me and I was worried about what my friends would think since he was younger.
After 6 years I still think about him time to time, but not like I used to because I am married to the love of my life right now, so I'm happy the way it turned out.
Do what you feel that you should do.

Just start off by asking him to do thing with you and your friends and than after you have hung out a couple of times plan some time alone and explain to him how you feel and if your friend is a true one she will understand

It isn't wrong. When I was in 8th grade my boyfriend was in sixth grade. We're still going out. It's been 4 years.

"Going out" is a bit premature at both your ages, but you should feel free to befriend and spend time with whomever you want (as long as it's kewl with your folks). There is plenty of time to think about relationships, and boyfriends, and dating down the road. Have fun and enjoy where/when you are in Life!

I don't think it really is wrong. Some people might make fun of you,but if you really like him, it shouldn't matter what other people think... you should definitely follow your heart girl
