What on earth does this mean i have heard of sperm counts, and mobility ??? we have now been referred to a specialist been trying to conceive for 18 months. Any advice info would be most gratfull

Morphology just means the shape. Either the morphology is good or it isn't. Sperm always have *some* shape!! If less than 60% have normal morphology, that is the sign of a problem. And the third measurement would be *motility* (which means the same as "mobility"). Normal for that would be at least 60% normal motility.

They are talking about the shape of the sperm. Check out the site below, there has to be more to the report...like what percent were shaped correctly and/or deformed.

Ask your doctor, go back them and tell them you don't understand what it means and the implications involved with that. Never be afraid to ask your doctor what something is, there is no shame in not knowing and it is their job to tell you, to give you a full explanation of what is being said. Never walk out of a doctors not knowing what they are talking about.

this refers to abnormal looking sperm. we had a similar problam which was caused by my husbands blood pressure pills. everything was normal 3 months after stopping them.

misshapen sperm I'm afraid. Is he on any medication? Certain medications are known to do this. (possibly reversible by the way, depending on the medication).
