I get severe migraines to the point the sometimes I have to go to the hospital so I know all about headaches!

A warm or cold compress on your head (which ever works best for you -cold works for me -warm works for others.) Over the counter Excedrin headache or Excedrin migraine works great and gets into your system fast! If your headache is accompanied with tight muscles in your neck, applying bengay or any arthritis hot/cold cream helps a lot! If you have facial pain with it, Benadryl on top of pain reliever (like Excedrin headache), or just take Benadryl sinus headache and then you won't need to take a pain reliever.

Simple home remedies for headache include rest and citrus fruits. You may have tried OTC drugs such as acetaminophen or paracetamol, ibuprofen, but be careful in taking these. If your headache recurs often and its feels really bad, I suggest you seek consultation first to know possible causes such as hypertension. Hope you won't take it for granted.

Supposedly, if you pinch the skin between your thumb and forefinger it will relieve a headache. But, since I get migraines it never worked for me, but I have friends who swear by that method.

Tie up the head real tight with a rag, and go to bed, but before you do that, drink a glass of real cold (not freezing cold) water.
