Our planet will not die until the sun burns out. Everything revolves around a cycle. This planet has survived for millions of years all with life. There will never be a scarcity of anything but certain species of animals. Humans are far too smart to make the earth go to shame. Since 1920 our knowlege has doubled 37 times. Before then it had only doubled 18 times in thousands of years. Earth is on the incline not decline.

We already know the irreversible effects of global warming, over population and encroachment on wildlife has run its course. We now live in a fatalistic society, knowing that utter annihilation awaits us around the corner.
This is not only predicted, but its decreed by the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics (AKA: Entropy).

There will be more damage before the realization is made, but I think a more optimistic future is ahead of us. Much of the damage was wrought during a period of ignorance. Now, we have access to more environmentally-friendly means.
I wouldn't worry about overpopulation. I'm a believer in Malthus.

Don't worry. After enough of us croak, Mother Nature will renew the planet and we can start ruining it all over again. Kinda weird, ain't it?

No one is learning that we are killing this planet. Just ask the government they tell us there is no global warming.
