Check your radiator fan when the car is running hot to make sure the motor is working. If it kicks on, replace the thermostat. If your fan isn't turning, replace the radiator fan motor. You can also test the motor by connecting wires from the terminals on the fan motor to the terminals on the battery. If the motor is good, it will come on instantly.

Also you may have sludge built up in the block and or Radiator, which is not letting the coolant flow freely.

Check every thing I would replace the water pump Thermostat. Drain the block, Flush out the whole cooloing system.

Not sure if you cooloing fan is run by belt or Electric, So many differen't motors and options for cameros, but if it;s electric may be another reason the fans not kicking on. You can go to a mechanic and have a diagnostict done on it, They will tell you and In most case pay the $30-$50 to get it diagnosed and do the work yourself if you think you can to save some money.

Change the thermostat and check the water pump too it might be that problem,O by the way make sure you have plenty of antifreeze inside the radiator too.

It could be the radiator is fouled, The radiator isnt working properly, The water pump is bad. you could have a small leak in one of your coolant hoses. You could have a head gasket out. your thermastat could be stuck closed(thats the cheapest and easiest to fix)
