Does Proactive really work? I'm 20 and I still have acne and nothing else including medicine has worked for me so I'm getting desperate. However before I shell out the 50 bucks I want to see if it really is this "miracle" cure everyone is talking about. And does anyone have any other ideas for getting rid of acne?

Yes! It is the best! I have being using it for 5 years and will not change it for anything. You must let 1-2 months, depends on your acne, to notice all the difference and you will not have any breakouts...I started using it in the morning and at night...NEVER touch your face with your hands you must learn to not do that if you do because I have noticed that even if I use Proactiv if I touch my face I will get a breakout...after several months you can start using proactiv only at night but be aware that you must continue the treatment always, if you stop using it you will start with breakouts again...believe me I know and then you have to wait another 1-2 months to not have any more breakouts again.
Also, I only use the repairing lotion not the 3 step program I think it is not necessary but maybe depends on your skin and I apply the repairing lotion like if it was face cream all over my face and do not let them send it every 2 months it is not necessary, the repairing lotion lasts much more than that.
Hope this helps!! I love this product and I love to recommend it because it really works but you must be patient (1-2 months) do not give up.
Also at first you will feel your face completely dry, don't worry it gets better in a couple of months..

I have had problems with my skin since I was a teenager. I tried proactive and it worked within a week and as long as I use it am and pm I have very little breakout. I swear by it. Try it and see it's much better for me than what the dermatologist has prescribed.

I used proactive for a few months and it worked good for about two weeks and after that I broke out like crazy even if I used it regularly. Something that I don't like about it is the fact that if you don't use it you're screwed. I prefer something that cures my breakouts and not just delays them. Didn't really work for me.

Yes! My son has been using it for a week now and is amazing the difference in his face. The acne is drying out. If you don't feel to sure about spending the 60.00 for the full size bottles, go with one of the deals that come on TV which give you a trial size and a brush to go with it for only 19.99 and remember to say NO to everything else they try to offer you. Just stick with the 19.99 deal. Also on the Sunday paper along with the coupons comes a coupon for proactive and it includes the trial size kit and the brush for only14.99 but you have to make a money order and send the order by mail.

Don't use proactiv or any other acne products they all break ur face out when you stop using them because u putting foreign chemicals in ur face just use dove soap, water and Vaseline when you go to sleep wash ur face when u wake up wash ur face don't put Vaseline on when you go to sleep and always wash your face before you go to sleep that causes break outs to I had bad acne now my face is clear I got this from my brother because his face is clear and I asked him how is his so clear jus wanted to help becuz I use to search for answers like this

It doesn't work I used it because I had really bad acne on my face, and it made my face look oily and it made my breakouts worst. If you have bad acne I would go to the dermatologist and have them prescribe something for you. I went to the dermatologist and i got meds and know my face, back, and chest is way better!

It really does depend on your skin type. But don't use it. I used it for about 2 months and it bleached my clothes and pillows...if the formula is strong enough to bleache anything it should not even touch your face. And once I quit completely my face broke out like crazy. I wouldn't suggest it to anyone

yes it's awesome. for me it only takes a few days for a difference, but my acne was never tthat bad. I remember being a teenager my mom gave me a comment on how much better my skin looked. I'll always remember that.

Well my aunt gave me proactive because my skin was just horrid and guess what IT WORKS. I mean yes my skin is very red and irritated and if I go into the sun my skin burns but at least my face doesnt look crunchy anymore I totally recommend it.
