High blood pressure can cause blurry vision. I say he should get checked for that.

If he has been around the flouresant lights for a long period of time you would think his body would have adjusted by now. If the lighting is new to him, it could take some adjusting.

Have his blood pressure checked...

Yes they can.

And poor lighting when you are working can too.

Make sure your computer monitor has LOW resolution and high refresh rate (if it's a CRT).

The resolution of the screen of modern laptops gets higher and higher and it's traded as something really advanced when in fact too a high resolution leads to people bringing their eyes closer to the sreen, which is a straigt and quick way to put on glasses.

Be careful!!!

And you should also get up and look out of the window as something distant like every 25 - 45 minutes!!!

The flicker of flourescents causes the pupils to dilate and contract, also flourescent lighting causes red blood cells to stick together. Together, those cause blurry vision and tiredness. Breaks from it will help, if the lighting can't be changed to incandescent.

Go to a doctor.

This can be as minor as needing new glasses or as serious as diabetes (that was my 1st symptom).

Tell your doctor when and how often this happens. Also mention anything else such as thirst, peeing a lot, headaches, nausea, ect...
