Anyone who says that god did anything for them is not only delusional but need serious electroshock as well. What would they do to a kid who was convinced the Boogieman was under his bed and wanted to kill him and acted out on his fear? They would put him in a Mental Hospital. So what's the difference?

It's not delusional for anyone to feel they are living the life God wants them to have.
I believer that god has a master plan for all of us. He gives us talents and abilities to lead us toward that ultimate goal. However, God also gave humans Free Will. We can choose which direction we want our lives to follow.
If we don't squander those gifts and if we strive towards a goal, we will live the life we want and most importantly, the life God wants.
In conclusion, I don't think she's crazy for believing in God's plan.

No more than Bush is for thinking that God wanted him to be president. Oprah may be a little weird and have a tendency to REALLY overcompensate for her insecurities, but at least she hasn't killed anybody.

What really matters is this: Oprah promotes enlightenment through education (classroom, sharing life experiences, investigative reporting, reading, etc), encourages people to get involved by doing their share and to listen to their instincts.
Whether it came from her "god" or from a bunch of bannanas... doesn't matter to me.

Yes, it's an amazing study in hubris to imagine that she would trade the real work that she's done to build her media empire for the opportunity to be a self-proclaimed instrument of God. Wow.

why would she be delusional? If you believe that God has a purpose for you in life, then you will believe that God created a path for you to take.

~~it is NEVER delusional to think that God has your life planned it is delusional to NOT believe.~~
*note to whistler... God is real, boogie man is not real.... teaching a child the difference between reality and fiction, asuring them that God can help them with their fears, where as, boogie man, not real, can't harm and can't help a child. Bible states it is appointed for man to die once, after that the judgement... i pray for you that God have mercy on your soul*
