Yes, but he'll be prepared for the course in drinking - it's a lab class - but it's only offered at certain times (specifically nights on days ending in the letter "Y", and weekends).

Well, hold on, now.

Let's not oversimplify.

We're just talking about one meal here. You never said if he took, for example, AP Dinner, or AP Elevenses or AP Midnight Beer and Sandwiches run, which I assure you as a college student he will *absolutely* need.

Regardless of his AP score in Lunch, there are so many more opportunites for food out there, in the college curriculum.

There's:

The Bagel with Hummus I ate and Hated but the Cute Hippie Girl Gave Me Her Phone Number and I Had To

Countless Sunflower Seeds Gutted and Chewed While Studying for a BioChem Midterm

The Non-Meat Scary Non-Lasagne Entree That Was All That Was Left in the Cafeteria and Made Me Very Ill

The Burrito We Drove Out for After the Lasagne Puking Experience

The Brownie We Mistook for Something Else

The Home Cooked Meal we Cherished With Our Very Essence Over Christmas Break

The Snickers Bar that Served for Breakfast Two Weeks Running

... and so on.

I mean, you know. Lunch does not the day's meals make.

We strive for well rounded.

And he will be, after his frosh year, you know.

He has to get a 4 or 5 on the AP lunch exam, administered by the College Board in May, and the college that he will be attending must have an AP policy that accepts the exam as placement or credit. He won't need to eat in college, though, if they accept it. He might get kind of hungry, though.

HUH? THis must be a joke to refer to AP classes allowing you to get college credit and skip certain 100 level classes. I guess if he passes AP Lunch (Eats Enough), he couls skip college lunch 101, but will need to take more advance college eating classes, such as Pizza 200, more then a thin slice of life.

Intresiting question, well worth the laugh. Sign me up for AP Lunch any day.

Yes, he will still need to eat in college. Just as breathing is necessary for one's survival, so is eating. In this case, your son will get to practice what he learned in AP lunch in high school.
Have a nice day and good eating!

He will need to score at least a 3 to avoid lunch at all. With a 4 he can skip lunch for two years. With 5 he can skip lunch his entire time at college, and also be exempt from snack requirements.

In order to effectively avoid eating in college, your son would need to complete an advanced placement course in Breakfast and Dinner as well as Lunch.

He will only get college credit for the first semester. There are still 8-10 more he needs to deal with. But maybe he should not pass the test? The college class is more thorough and he will get more out of it (about 10 lbs).

Funny!
If he passes AP lunch, he may clep out of it in college. Check with the college as to their requirements. He may be required to take more than one year of lunch.

Of course not, well assuming he passes the AP test, he'll be all set to skip eating all together in College!
