Well if you're broke you're gonna have to do it yourself. I'd sugest learning HTML, getting PayPal (as a free merchant account https://www.paypal.com/ ), and if all you have is a domain you're gonna need hosting TOO. I hope you got the hosting as well as the domain name. Can't have a site with out hosting. ;-)
Anyways, if you do have some money or know a way to smooch off a friend's computer/software LOL you could spend the money on Dreamweaver to make it more easy on your self.
If that's still not working, then you can always save up money to get someone to do it all for ya.
By the way, Hi, I have my own business... My BF and I started out small (we're still small LOL). I might not have a E-commerce site, but I have worked on one.
http://www.triangleeventpros.com
is the site my biz has worked on.
Our site (which I've been too busy with work and school to finesh or make it look good is):
http://www.duelwave.com
We do web design and more, so if you want someone to do your website pick us!!!
Our simple package starts at $25 per file(webpage). Which includes pictures and the normal website stuff.
We have FLAT rates, no paying us to code by the hour, that way you know up front how much it'll run.
;-)
Good luck...
if you're gonna do it on your own, learn Web Design like HTML, XML, DHTML, JAVA, PHP ... ect. ...
Well
::: Peace :::

If you have not designed a page I would hire someone. Your hosting company more than likely has a shopping cart plan., if you are not hosted yet find one who has a shopping cart plan. A shopping cart allows you to place your products on your website, list them, etc. You will have to get a merchant account to process credit card orders. Another option is paypal. Paypal or the merchant account will process the credit card orders, there are fee's applied here that you pay so do some shopping.
Suggestions - research your designer. Don't necessarily go with the cheapest offer to do your site. On the other hand don't go with the highest bidder, look at the designer's portfolio, or ask for a list of sites they have designed.
Also see if they help with search engine placement. Your website won't just take off magically on its own. There is a science to search engine placement.
I am a designer (10 years now). I offer this as advice. not as a solicitation for business.

Hello. Good move. Well before i start lemme congratulate you. Now to the topic. www...........com. It sounds good. Now will you host your own website on your computer? Will you design your website yourself? Do you know HTML coding? if the answer is NO, please hire an web designer and just let him know what all you want on the website, where, how it should work and all. once that is done he will design it accordingly and you can ask a company to host your website. Depending on the size (pages), your need (bandwidth) prices will differ. Their reps will let you know more. Best of luck. Hope that answers your question.
