I let my daughter use Nair until I thought she would be okay shaving with a Razor...since she didnt want me to see her naked I could not help her out with the razor and was in a bit of fear of cutting herself. I had her put on some short shorts and did the Nair test, then show'd her how to do it all.

I shaved my legs at 10, I didn't ask, there was a razor in the shower and I cut the crap out of my leg. So let her do it, but show her how, I'm 24 and still have that scar. Oh, and don't let her wear make up and halter tops along with shaving, that's pushing it....

The rule in my house is you can start shaving as soon as you get hair on your pits. However some children have very naturally hairy legs. They are made fun of and become very self conscious about it. If she just has a regular amount of hair on her legs then no I would not let her. Shaving just causes problems and is a pain in the butt.
But letting her wont hurt her either as long as she is responsible and careful!

I was about 13 when I started shaving my legs, if hers are really hairy, then why not? girls like to look good in shorts, and skirts, without having to worry how the next girl shaves their legs.

IT IS NO BIG DEAL, OTHER GIRLS PROBABLY HAVE STARTED TO AND SHE MAY FEEL LEFT OUT OR SOMETHING. AS LONG AS YOU TRUST HER AND MAKE SURE YOU HELP HER THE FIRST TIME. SHE WILL BE FINE. IF SHE THINKS SHE IS READY THERE IS NO PAIN IN LETTING HER GROW UP. I STARTED SHAVING ABOUT THAT AGE ALSO. MOST GIRLS NOW DAYS START SHAVING IN ABOUT 5 GRADE OR SO. SO BASICALLY YOU JUST NEED TO LET HER DO WHAT IS RIGHT FOR HER. IF SHE THINKS SHE NEEDS TO START THEN LET HER.

I don't see any harm in it really. Girls at that age just want to feel more mature and I think she picked the best way to do that. She could be wanting to wear a thong or dye her hair or something like that, instead she just wants to shave her legs. No big deal in my opinion. :)

Well if you think it looks like she should start shaving her legs then I would let her because she might just want to but if she needs to then let her.

At age 10, I think that's a bit too young to start shaving. But, if she has excess hair and that's her reason (wanting to shave), I'd suggest looking into bleaching or waxing her hair.

only if her legs are hairy. You should let her.10 sounds a bit young I'm 13 and the hair on my legs is really light still but it gets darker so I just shaved them when I wore skirts or had gym.You should let her only if her legs have alot of dark hair on them. You could let her bleach them with your help so she dosen't mess up.If some girls start to hsvae legs early they will get hairy. So make sure she dosen't screw up!
