Oh I believe you should shoot for the top from the very beginnig, Let's see you have NO job experiance....How about goning around and applying for all the CEO jobs of companies in your area, There might be an opening and you would start out at about 1,000,00.00 a year ! would that be enough? ( just being silly , not trying to be mean) Now for the real world how about goning down to the local job office, Talk with a job counselor and see what they would recomend, Also try applying at Mc Donalds, Arby's, Pizza Hut, Taco bell, Wendy's, or maybe mow lawns ( likesome one said above mowing lawns doesn't pay much but it's outside and you can set the hours.,

Grocery Store like Harris Teeter. Great place to start out, plus they usually help you for college, money wise, later on. If you don't want to get into the whole bagging thing, try looking for internships at places you think you might be interested in working for a living later on.

Here in the midwest some grocery stores allow 15 year olds to work as baggers and if adept enough, the cashier. As for the bay area, I have no clue!

My vote would be for somewhere small and privately owned or managed. Large corporate places tend to treat their employees, especially young ones, as disposable. I worked for both, and the small store was a much more enjoyable experience and they payed better.

The grocery store is an awesome first job. The work is easy and all you have to do is be nice. You don't even have to say "Would you like fries with that"?

Go to a nearby community college or the likes, they usually have part-time job offerings for teenagers. That is how I got my first job.

Starbucks.

They really do provide a career path if you want to go for it. You can even relocate to Seattle and work at their headquarters.

They even... pay a decent wage! They provide vacation days, benefits, and they do care about holding on to their employees.

In short, they are far superior to McD's or Wal*Mart.

At the movies! Free movies for you and friends and free soda and popcorn for you while you work. Plus, you get to see the movies before anyone else does. I did it and I loved it!

The movie theater is the best. You and your friends and family can see movies for free, plus free popcorn and soda too.
