I believe that all it could possibly do is make you vomit but no real life threatening problems. It depends on the amount. For instance, in the sport of paintball players sometimes are shot in the face. the liquid within the paintball then goes through the breathing holes on the masks and is sometimes ingested. it doesn't taste too good but that won't make you ill. as for the shell, I wouldn't know. I haven't eaten that part. But "eating paint" (as its called when you're shot in the mask) is a normal thing and cannot harm you.

Absolutely not, I have eaten 20 paintballs to get a free bag of paint and nothing happened. Paintballs are made to be 100% edible, and 100% biodegradable. You have nothing to worry about. At a recent event, there was even a paintball eating constest. The worst that could happen would be a sore stomach, and that would only be after many, many, MANY paintballs had been eaten.

Would you get sick if you ate a plastic marble? Probably, probably not.
Would you get sick if you drank paint out of a paint can? Yes, you would. The chemicals in paint can eat the lining of your stomach.
