I think it has to do with the differences in aggressive tendencies. And since most video games revolve around aggression, video games are a good outlet. Girls are more relationship/interaction oriented, and that takes real life.

I'm female and I love video games. I've loved games ever since I was a girl, and I'm an adult now and still love them. I like all kinds of games, but my favorites are RPGs, action RPGs, and action games. My least favorite games are sports, and first person shooters, (the camera motion makes me motion sick.) I also like arcade games, sometimes fighter games, but strategy games are really hit and miss. I especially like games where you can build things or create things, and games that have a good story.

I think video games mirror a big difference between most men and women, primarily because most games are marketed specifically for men. The majority of game characters are male, the majority of girls in games tend to be built to be attractive to men. It could have something to do with the violence aspect. Also society teaches women to think games are stupid, just like society teaches men to think things that women do are stupid. In the end, thinking those things is actually stupid because we're all people and everyone should have something fun they like even if not everyone likes it.

I love video games! My Mother used to always scream at me for it and never giving it a rest always talking about how much of a tomboy I am and why can't she have a normal daughter?I would have to say that I play as much if not more then the average male. So to answer your question I'd say that average Joe's play 70% more then the average Jane. I'd guess the average Jane plays about 30% unless you find some chick like myself.I believe it depends on how they are raised and who they grow up with to be honest. Some families pressure there daughter to be more girlie or surround them with girlie things not giving them a chance to test out things on there own.I kinda went against the system tee he Well I'm gonna go play on my X-box, laters!

This is an easy one! Almost all video games are geared toward males. Sports, action/adventure, war, guns, violence and even sex appeal. The era of on line competition through modern games also appeal to males. I'm sure many psychological studies have been made to further enhance the male appeal for video games.

Most males gravitate towards video games due to the external sensory fufillment and females tend to gravitate towards an internal sensory fufullment. The overall justification with regards to the fufillment women derive from playing video games is different then males, most males preferr to play video games with others or by themselves but women tend to want to play games with others not alone. The reason is that women crave a community ejnoyment and males tend to crave solitary lifestyles and social atmospheres.

Oh that's easy.

Most of the games are geared for men, created and marketed by men.

How many home decorating or shopping games do you see out there?

Where are they 'cause I'd be the first in line to buy 'em.

Probably because games are made for boys. The violence, the hot half naked women, the fast race car action; it all speaks to the boys personality.

Because girls prefer real life over a fantasy world. Also because girls tend to have more responsability and have less free time.
