Review the pretest study books. There are several brands. Definitely, make sure you rest the night before. Also, bring an energy bar or other healthy snack to munch on during your break. It is really easy to get tired during those long tests. Good luck.

This may seem like a silly answer, but practice on very simple exams. Find some elementary level tests with questions like "how much is 2 plus 2" or "identify the cat" and practice answering them as fast as you can. Do the same exams and just push yourself to answer faster each time. Push yourself to answer faster than you think is humanly possible.

Then move up to more difficult exams and practice pushing yourself up to answering faster and faster.

You can find exam books at Goodwill and other used bookstores. Get a variety of exam books. The ASVAB, Catholic High School Entrance Exams, the LSAT, the GRE, Miller Analogies Exams.

The best way to pass any exam is to practice passing ALL types of exams. It's not necessarily what you know that helps you pass, it's how you respond to exams that determines a good score. Think of exams as a competitive game you play to beat your own previous score and you'll do well.
