Well, problem is plenty of legal boundaries limit where people 16 and under can work. Personally I did start working full time at the age of 16. My suggestion is try for a supermarket or even a fast food chain. There would be no problem with youworking in such an environment. Also though alot of formal restaurants may not be able to hire you as a waiter at the age of 16, they can hire you as a host. If you are trying to enter a more professional work environment try starting off with volunteer work at a Dr's office or local community center. Then when the positions become available, you will be first in line, since they already know your work ethic, and that you are committed.

You should get your working papers. You could probably get a job as a newspaper deliverer or handing out fliers. You could be entrepreneurial and set up a lemonade stand. Or you can use the Internet to sell items on eBay and try to make a profit.

Also, if you live near a beach or community pool, you could probably be a lifeguard.

If you have a driver's license, pizza/takeout delivery.

Also, try a movie theater - box office, janitorial, etc.
