YEs yes yes they should i am a big baseball fan and there are so many close calls that i think should be reviewed, an umpire can not see everything at one especially with more than one base runner on at a time. I think a coach should be able to challenge a call just like in football.

NO. What makes this sport great is that it relys specifically on human judgement to determine its outcome. Right or wrong there are only four men on the field that determine what happened. Sure some calls are overturned after an umpire convention on the field, but that just proves that the limit of their abilities to react and respond to the situation is a HUMAN response. I truly believe that the excitement of the sport would be lost if there was instant replay. And yes the excitement can go either for or against a call.

at some games yes. i think that they should do what college football does. ask the head coaches if they would like instant replay. if one coach says no-then no instant replay. in other words- the teams would have a better chance at getting calls rather than losing them. also it help lower the number of managers and players getting ejected during the course of the game. players and coaches wouldnt be fighting because the umpire would be able to find the correct call and the game would go on. so in other words yes they should have instant replay if both coaches agree.

I think in big games like playoff they need instant replay, on foulballs/homeruns, there have been several times the call was gotten wrong, plays at the plate are often very very close. The past few seasons the umps have gotten together and gotten the call right MOST of the time, but in these games the call needs to be correct if possible

No. That's just what everyone wants - for their pitcher's arm to get cold while everyone stands around waiting for an ump to revise a call.
In my opinion, instant replay causes just as much controversy as it solves in other sports. Most of the time the video footage doesn't give definitive evidence to overrule a call - but sometimes the refs do it anyway.
Besides, where would baseball fans be if we couldn't complain "the ump is blind!" Bad calls are a part of the sport!

Yes, I think it should be used like the NFL. Coaches get 2 challenges per game. But, you would have to limit the number of things that can be challenged. I would suggest plays where a player is called out at a base or home run or ground rule double calls. You could not include foul ball calls, since, if they call it foul and it is overturned to fair, how do you decide what would have happened next? Is it a single, double, what? Outs can be turned to safe and HRs can be awarded if they weren't originally without leading to more questions.

sure they should
imagin playing all year in 2004 when Gay-Rod knocked the ball out of Bronson's hand. It would have been a waste of a year if they did make the call right, and Bellhorn's homerun as well.

No the game is great just like it is. Umpires are graded and most do a great job and besides that, it would make the games last too long.

No way. Games are 3 hours long right now as it is, plus the controversies are what make everything more exciting anyways.

no, because there are to many disputed calls and the game is played not just played by skill but the breaks a team gets during a game!
