Cold fusion theory holds that nuclear fusion is possible at room temperature and normal pressure. If possible, unbelievable amounts of energy could be made available for use without the dangers associated with traditional nuclear fusion.

As far as I know, no mainstream scientist considers cold fusion to possible.

Fusion can also be effected by high pressure and not just high temperature, if realised it will solve the world's energy problems.
