whats is goth peole really about and what do they actulley like and dislike and why????

This entire question is total sterotyping...to the person who said they smoke pot, as many of them smoke pot as any other social group, believe me.
They do almost always dress in black, and I guess like the heavy metal stuff, they are NOT devilworshipers, and not all ov them like vampires either...
Look, they're just people, okay? You should be able to accept them, plus you should know, that I'm definetly not goth, but several of my friends are, and they are just about the nicest people I know.

Look in my 'best answers' column for more information on goths, and visit goth.net for more information. Goths are not evil, goths generally don't like Marilyn Manson, or shop at Hot Topic. They can have any faith at all, and lots of goths are Christians. Goths can wear anything they want to wear. Goth started around 1978-1979, and goth came from postpunk. Wish you luck.

ok so first of all, goths don't always wear black or eyeliner-very stereotypical. but then so is most thinking. goths are those who realize there is more to life than fitting in with the popular crowd-they do their own thing and develop their own individuality. a goth is not a cynical human being who is all emo wandering around talking about suicide and doing drugs. goths have a sense of humor and are people as well-anyone can do drugs or talk about suicide-it doesn't place you in a group because you do. they aren't devil worshippers, they're everday people. who knows-maybe someone you know is goth and you didn't even realize it. it's better not to classify people other than individuals.

The gothic subculture is basically about embracing the darker side of life. Most goths are very open minded people, there is no set religious, social background, race or sexuality need to belong. They don't try to mask the dark side of life, but deiced to explore it to learn more about themselves. Many just like dark things, it's just what they are. Heavy metal, industrial, classic, techno...is the vast range of music listened to.

Gothic people are about what they want to be about. there are silly vampire freaks and there are people who are pagan and their favorite color is black... Abby for example in NCIS. alot of them believe in god and alot of them believe everything has a spirit. Some just believe in the 4 spirits Earth, Wind, Fire, Water, to bring forth the Spirit from above. So, you see, we are not all alike. Blessed be.

we don't whossip the devil , some of us don't smoke pot, some dresses in black . yes i do dress in black.... that amanda don't know what she talking about....we seen things different in the world than some regular people out there.... we have a choice . to be regular or gothic or dress like a rapper... my choice is goth

ok well i'm considered goth to many, I love dark colors but i do not worship the devil or anything like that. I listen to rock, and shop and hot topic

it is just about fashion preference. not all people who wear black are devil worshippers, gosh!! i feel that the style is based on the kind of music that they may listen to and the kind of books and movies they like. it is just a style preference, same as people who are considered "punk," or "preppy." there is no generalization that can be made here about people based on how they like to dress.

im a goth and they love dark colors. they hate light ones. their interested in dark stuff. love goth music and rock! shop at goth stores like hot topic! it's so much fun. oh and some don't belive in god and warshipp the devil! i hate when people make a such big deal about us! and we dont smoke pot! i talk about death a lot but so do some of my goth friends. i have black nailpolish! that crap about they drink eachothers blood is a lie! i do sorta worshipp the devil!
