Yes.. man is God's father. We have created him to give us hope when darkness surrounds us. He is a voice created by us which tells us that even in times of crisis, not everything is lost. He is the being we have created and strive to contain within us. We all want to be good.. and god represents good. We have created him to remind us of the goodness which still exists on the earth, despite it's pitiful state. He represents our hope for the future.

If he is an all knowing, seeing, supreme being that is taught in most religions, then wouldnt that mean that if he has a father, then the father is also all powerfull? If there are two gods, why not more? Did they fight for control, or let one dominate all? Do they each have a planet to reign over? In most religions, god cannot have a father (or a relative or have any more than one being of its type exist) because that would cause cracks in thier belief system and cause too many people to question it. It only works in polytheism (belief of many gods, like the Greek) If however, god did have a father but he was not godly like the son, then what? Humans (mortals) can bear a child that could become a god? That would mean that humans are potentially gods themselves. In any case a god could not have a father (powerful or not) because that would pretty much ruin the entire belief system of most current religions.

Mormons think so. They actually believe that we mortals can become gods of other planets to watch over. However it does not make sense because our God would have someone more powerful than he is so actually our God would then hold no validity. God is all powerful, all knowing, and created everything. It just doesnt add up. Plus, it doesnt solve any questions, it just makes things more questionable. There has to be a finite entity with a beginning and an end. The God of the Bible even said that he was the beginning and the end.

It's hard to say. In the Christian tradition, Jesus is God, and God is Jesus's father, so yes, God has a father, in a round-about way. It gets a bit complicated with a triune God as "Father, Son, and Holy Spirit."

Oh, yes. He was probably abusive, too. The universe is clearly the product of a beautifully sadistic mind. Research prison rape if you need proof.
