oooh here's hoping it isn't too late...should have been teaching him from birth. He should know all the alphabet, how to read simple words, how to write his own name and that 2 + 2 = 4.

Patience and understanding are key to giving instruction to a child...engage the child in a shared family activity.

Good luck and I hope they don't recommend the mind stealing Ritalin.

about a month before school starts make every weekday practice school where he actually has to listen to instruction and follow directions u can print of practice worksheets and make sure that he follows the instructions to the T

first of all u have to show that kid u are the adult my oldest which is 14 still tries that. sit him down and tell him what is goin to happen if that doesnt work sit him in timeout if that still dont work whoop his ***
