No however he will try to mate with the mother and that might scare her and she may not take care of her babies in order to not attract attention to herself. That's what happened with my rabbit.

I believe it depends on the buck (father). I had many rabbits and in my experience the doe (mother) was the one that killed the newborns. My buck was kind, sweet, and taught the young rabbits how to eat rabbit pellets. Also, my rabbits were not caged, they were allowed to run freely in the backyard. My rabbits had more space and hiding places than a rabbit family in a cage. I honestly think that the correct answer to your question is that there isn't a correct answer, there are plenty of factors in the outcome. The best answer is to keep mom and dad separate after mating. That way you can eliminate any possible problems that might occur. (And then when the young rabbits are old enough remove them from mom.) Good luck with the babies! P.S. Bucks when the reach maturity will fight. (Happened to me)

In domestic rabbits, the father should be removed right after breeding. They may not intentionally kill the newborns but the doe can get pregnant again right after giving birth. This is hard on her as she will be just weaning the first litter when giving birth to the second litter.
Also, there may be fighting between the buck(father) and doe(mother) as some does will get aggressive to protect their kits.

I've always heard that the male rabbit will kill their young, but I found a link that says otherwise.
Here's a link that will answer your question:

Yes, so you need to keep Dad seperate from the kits. Mom will also kill them if there is something wrong with them, or she's over stressed. Keep her calm & seperate from any other pets you may have. Towels or carboard around her hutch will help keep your other pets from snooping & upsetting her.
