I'm not sure which PRAXIS exam you are taking but PRAXIS I is just like the ACT.
PRAXIS II covers teaching practices and "What would you do" scenarios. I really didn't have a problem with either section of the exam. (Two sections--1 is straight up multiple choice questions over common things that you should have gone over in your education classes. The 2ND is different scenarios of what you would do in different situations.)
Be careful with pacing yourself. I ran out of time on the 2ND part of the exam and didn't to the best that I could have done because I wasn't able to answer one of the questions fully. I still passed but could have done better.
Overall, review all your education classes and use common sense and you will be fine.

I just wanted say that 'I' like to give my qualifications before 'I' start handing out my wisdom..... c'mon already with the I-crap. If you want to succeed in the Praxis II, or any standardized test, you should purchase the study manual from that SAME company that creates the test. So Collegboards for SATs, Princeton Review (not positive, been a while since i took praxis) for PRAXIS, etc. Of course the company that produces the test is also going to produce the best study manual, it called business.

There are several guides that you can buy at you local bookstore for practice. The Praxis I is simular to say the SAT or any other standardized test. The writing portion is where a lot of people mess up. Just brush up on you skills and you will be fine. Don't stress it too much.

I have taken this test and passed with above the score needed. The first PRAXIS test is just like taking an SAT or ACT common knowledge stuff, as for the PRAXIS II you need to be good at answering essay questions, I passed both the very first time I took them. Best of luck to you and please don't stress.

Get the study book that Praxis puts out. It is well worth the $10. It has everything that you need to know. If you can answer those questions, you will do well!!!
