If this feeling that I feel is real then I want to deepen the level of intensity in the feelings that you feel. You say your feelings are the same but you treat this love thing like it's a game. Fear is a factor of love, though positive factors remain. Your personality your laugh your style, everything draws me closer to you. Beg, plead, win your love with sincerity, what do I have to do? You're afraid I'll hurt you but whats love without risks? Or is the word love to strong for this...THIS... what more is it than this? Or is this love? Love? Whats love to you? To me its constantly thinking of YOU wondering what you're doin every minute of every day, trying to get close to you in every single way. All i'm asking is that you let me in. You wanna give me a try, why try to hide your feelings why pretend?...PRETEND...that you don't want me, that I don't get to you like you get to me.Constantly Seein your face when I close my eyes wanting to hear your voice when it's quiet at night...

The problem is that everyone loves writing "poetry" when we are/were 16. But if you are a real talent, never give up and show the world who you really are. Keep on fighting!

You are blessed with a wonderful gift, the gift of wrting poems.

Go aheah, write as many as can, pour your feeling into them. Then contact a local poet or the news editor. They will surely guide you to some publisher.

Age is no barrier.

My niece too has published a book of poems,She`s married, working as secretary in a MNC, but still pens her thoughts when she finds something interesting. Her scrap book was the paving stone for her book.

I'll be honest - this doesn't sound like a memorable love poem, but it does sound like song lyrics. Now if you would like to apply your talent to writing lyrics for teen songs, that is a possibility. I could see this in a clean rap song - and goodness knows, we could use more of those instead of the other kind. What are your musical influences, by the way? If you really want to write good poetry, start reading other poetry. Don't forget to use all five senses - sight, sound, smell, touch, and feel. Study poetic devices as well - similes, metaphors, ways to create imagery. Good luck - thanks for sharing!

Lakesha R-
I'm very sorry, I don't know anything about poetry. I'm a Horror/Action/Adventure writer I mix horror with my military experience and deal with it like that.

However; I know a lot of poets that are members of the same site that I'm associated with here is my link, the site is free and has currently 500,000 active members. I suggest that you take the time to join and post your work. It will be copyrighted the moment that you join and all of your questions can be answered there. Good-luck Oh, you will find a lot of girls your age that are published.

If you are a writer you dont need to be employed by anyone, you employ yourself with your talent. Have your work copywrited by going to Poetry.com and entering your work by computer and the instant you do it is protected for you and you are the owner of your work as well as it being entered into a contest for big bucks.
Options for books etc are available.
If you write a good poetry book you probably wont have to be employed for the rest of your life.

I think, the employer think that the 16 years old is not enough experience. The employer usually despise ages.

uh...I don't mean to discourage you, but it wasn't what I'd call grade A material. In fact I could barely finish reading it.
