Who would win? Xavier can destroy almost all the mutants but can he destroy Magneto? why or why not? (from the movie X2, it show Magneto was resisting Xavier power, was this because of that helmet he weares?)

Yes it was because of the helmet magneto wears . with it on he's immune to Xaviers attacks. But Xavier would win now cus since the House of M Magneto has lost his powers along with about every other mutant. I think there are like 198 mutants that didn'tlose there powers. check out marvel.com for house of m and 198. ..hopw i could help

Magneto can always win. In the comics his powers are much greater than in the movies. Xavier cannot use telekinesis, thus he cannot remove Magneto's helmet and therefore cannot stop him. Magneto on the other hand can rip the iron form Xavier, shock him with electricity, throw objects , or a myriad of other things.

As someone else mentioned, in the current comics continuity Magneto is now powerless. However, so is Xavier (though he has regained the ability to walk).
If they were powered, both could probably kill the other if they really wanted to, but I think they usually hold back when fighting eachother because of their former friendship (which seems to have been rekindled recently, with the two working together to rebuild Genosha).

Yes its because of the helmet just as Jaugernauts helmet also makes him invunerable to mental attacks

I don't think there can be an outright winner in this fight. Both men are experienced fighters and know each other's powers too well. Jean could probably beat them both though.
