Where are you located? Every couple of years my company sells for a nominal fee or gives away the computers that we are no longer using. I can see if they will consider giving them to you.

If you are in a non-profit organization, you can look for grants or foundations willing to contribute to your cause.
some software manufacturers or computer manufacturers may have community support where they donate money or resources for these causes. If you to a corporate site, look for their investor relations page and then go to "community development" or something along those lines.

Contact local businesses which may be willing to either donate old computers, or sponsor a program to buy new computers for the school area.
