A hurricane occurs in the Atlantic Ocean, a typhoon in the Pacific. I think cyclones are the ones in the Indian Ocean.

A typhoon is a hurricane - it is just located on the other side of the date line.

A cyclone I think is a water spout or tornado - not sure on that one.
