Anything but Friends, when America becomes a gay only country, thats when Friends becomes the best American sitcom.

Well many would say that it is Friends, and that would be true by some standards. The cast of Friends probably were making more money by the end of each sitcom than any other sitcom's cast. However as far as content goes I would say that the best had to be CHEERS. Cheers knew how to make the audience feel right at home. This was an important key for a sitcom. Also I love Family Guy as much as the next person, but it is not a sitcom. It is a cartoon. A 100 percent American born cartoon.

All in the family was the best sitcom ever it set the standard for all other sitcoms

All In The Family. It was the first to put controversial topics into the American living room. It spawned off The Jefferson's. Many other shows after it tried to copy the dis-functional family of the Bunkers. This was a show where everything problem was not solved by the end of the show.

Ahh, I miss they days of Magnum P.I. Dukes of Hazard, Sonny & Cher, Hee Haw, Donny & Marie, A-Team, The Great American Hero....... But I must say Frasier is a classic.
