Well, think about how much money they make from NOT eliminating it. Also, at least here in the US, it is because we as the voting public do not push them enough to do so. If we held them accountable to do what the majority of the voting public wants, then they would have done this, but since we Americans in general are lazy, we let them walk over us by not voting nor telling them our opinion on issues.

It all comes down to money. Do you think that they havnt created a tire that would never blow, but still get the ride of a numatic tire? they have, its not in use cause then alot of companies would go out of business. Its the same reason for the oil company. 2 months ago a company in japan made gasoline out of cow dung. Will this be used, prolly not.

Its not the "will or the want", its the bribes that big oil companies give to them for reelections and all the other "perks"="bribes" that they are given through out the years.
Too many politicians get rich, and it aint just thier salaries that they are getting, so it has to come from somewhere, and its the huge industries that "pad thier pockets"...
Why else do you think they spend so much money to fight for reeleciton??? Its a good livign that way...

as an american i can say that our politicans are rich oil tycoons and would rather not loose their money by going for ethonol. it sux believe me
