I have adobe reader 7.0.8 installed on my computer. The problem is that it shows an icon of another program but when I click on it, adobe reader works fine. To avoid confusion I would like to replace icons. If you have any ideas of doing that please respond to this question.

Thank you in advance.

Whenever I right click on that icon and go into the properties of that icon, there is an option called change icon but I can't click on it because it is all blurry and the only option I have is advanced.

Right click on the icon in question (for Adobe). Go to properties, then click on the button that says "Change Icon." If the icon is not in the immediate list that pops up, you can browse your hard drive(s) for the adobe folder (where you installed it) and find the *.exe file for adobe.

Right mouse click on it and left click on Properties. Click on change Icon. Then browse to the Adobe reader folder.

Or Click on Start>All Programs and find Adobe and right click on it and left click on Send to>Desktop (create shortcut) Make sure it works and then delete the other one.

Right click it and click properties. Change the icon to the .exe file itself.

Example: C:/Program Files/Adobe/Adobe Reader/Adobe Reader.exe

I doubt that's the right location, but it gives you a good example of what you're looking for. If you need any other help, MichaelHart [at] MichaelHart [dot] name is my e-mail...

Hope I helped,

Right click on the shortcut. Select "Properties" from the context menu. Click the "Change Icon" button. Either select an available icon, or browse to the icon file that you want to use and select it and then select the icon. Click "Apply" and then "OK".
