You're in for a long walk, buddy; consequences of choices you've made...GOOD NEWS...there's usually light at the end of the tunnel! You can get a good job, it'll just take you longer to get there. You'll most likely have to find someone that is willing to take a chance on you and you should fully expect that there may be fallout in the form of negativity until you've proven yourself. Keep plugging away and as you EARN trust and respect, you will find ways in which to better your position. It's important that you keep "clean" of any wanderings back into a life style and situations that may not look good or may be construed as a lack of commitment to heading down a road that will lead you to your personal best and success; that could include financial success, but more so a strong moral character and integrity.

It is not impossible but you need to be prepared to start at the bottom and prove yourself no matter about your graduate education. Some employers might be willing to give you chance but many more will not and you must be prepared for that rejection. Any anger displyed by this rejection will be interpreted as a continued inability on your part to maintain your behavior and you will not be hired. Once hired you also need to be prepared to stay put in your job to display loyalty to your employer.

No it's not over. You just have to learn when you jump off the back of the truck to grab the bags or cans, you have to lean forward and maintain momentum or you will face plant. But with a Masters you probably learned that in physics.

The only limitations in life are the ones you set for yourself. It sounds like you've had some bumps in your life, but have learned from them and are bettering your potential for success. You can't change what's happened in the past, or how people judge your character, the only thing you have control over is your attitude on life.

Congratulations...of course you have to admit to your felony as part of your job application. I think today that most employers look at your ambitions, goals, job interview, passion for the position, past references, etc. Having said this, you probably understand that you will have to go that extra mile to prove to your employer that you have moved past your past mistakes and will be an employee that they will be proud to have. I am a firm believer of lead by example so you can be their standard for the type of employee they want to have in their company...Good luck.

Most definately not. Employers appreciate honesty though. It may be hard to get an interview but when you do have a positive spin to what happened. For example when they ask your flaw saying that you are obsessive about finishing things, that makes your weakness your strength.

Life is not over. You just need to show that you are a changed and reformed person.
My suggestion is to show that you have changed your life by volunteering for a while in community programs helping kids stay out of trouble.

Nothing that's happened in your life means that life is over. Of course you have some obstacles to overcome but always remember that persistence and determination are the keys to success.
