You can go to Vegas and have an all in one deal,
You can do it at the courthouse,
Another option is to have it at Sandals in Jamaica (when I was there last they were doing 4 a day and they were lovely). The wedding is free with your stay.

If you have a few friends who would be willing to help:
I had mine in the back yard at my grandmothers we bought an arch at a nursery and then ribbons from the floral supply house we wove those thru, we put pots of plants on either side of the arch, My Aunt made the cake (she is a fabulous baker and you woud never know it wasn't from a cake shop), A friend who does photography as a hobby took the pictures, We did have a small buffet but most of the food we did ourselves. I made my own veil, I bought the dress and the champagne, paid the minister & bought the flowers. It was a casual style wedding- my dress was tea length.
One cousin played the piano.. I had my wedding in July so I had all of the girls wear simple summer dresses (same dress in several colors) and the guys wore white pants and then polos that matched the girls' dresses. It turned out very nicely. It was inexpensive and went off without a hitch.
Good Luck

How about a destination wedding? Maybe consider the following??? 1. Vegas 2. Gatlinburg 3. a Florida beach 4. Niagara Falls 5. Do a search for bed and breakfast inns in your state . . . for B&B's that do weddings. 6. Consider marrying at home (either your own home or that of a family member). Home weddings can be so nice. Plus limiting the number of guests makes the wedding less expensive.

Im planning my own so I know. The NUMBER one way to make it cheap is this, ELOPE.

You can also make it cheap by doing it at a public park(typically free) or at one of your houses, or by doing the cooking yourself(Ala BBQ!)

if your worried about the cost of a minister, send a friend online to www.ulc.org and have him get certified to marry people(FREE)

Try to have a parent make the dress if thats an option, or make the wedding casual/pool party type thing. Make sure with all these relaxed formality however that you clearly distinguish between fun time and FORMAL CEREMONY time. this will keep the level of pomp and circumstance that every bride wants.

That's exactly what I am thinking today. It is the only thing on my mind today. I have decided this. A church wedding is free. The reception room at the church is free. It is more special. You just have to ask ANY preacher (any religion) to do it.

Then your cost is:
What you/groom will wear (no tux here). One person standing up with ya'll.
Bows on pew ends and flowers for the alter and bride. Decorate reception room.
Cake, mints, nuts, punch, fruit tray, veggie tray, finger sandwiches (chicken salad, tuna, or pimento)

Put throw away cameras on each guest table and have the guests take pictures throughout the event. Then when they leave, you pick up the cameras, have them developed and "bingo", you have wedding pictures. It's also nice to have that "friend" who has a brand new digital camera standing by.

Burn a cd of your favorite songs to play at the wedding and reception. Lucky me found a friend to play "Here Comes The Bride" for the walk down the isle. Do you know someone who plays the guitar?

The first step is to talk to the person who will perform the wedding. Everything else is details.

have family and/or friends help u home make ur flower arrangements, and cook ur own food to. also insted of having caterors see if those who are not in the wedding party, be your servers. You can also have any one musicly talented, sing or play the piano, or if u dont go online and download ur own muisc. And Have any friends or family do your photos, or after the weddin have ur pictures made at a walmart or kmart, its half the price of a professional and has half the head ache. Another thing is insted of Tuexes, use business suits. Use Ebay to get ur rings. and insted of having a church wedding, have it at home in your own back yard or in some who has a nice yard, this will save more than u know

Don't spend money on a fancy dress you'll never wear again. Have a small group of friends and family at church or your backyard, courthouse whatever. Then you can have a good size reception. Instead of gifts, have everyone bring a dish to pass and they're own lawnchairs and have a cookout. You supply the music and the drinks.

Have it at a friend or family members home

Pick theme colors and have the brides maids and groomsmen wear their own clothes (say black slacks/skirt and a blue button up shirt)

Keep it simple and casual

The food at your reception can be covered dish...or else just some simple home-made things

Use a boom box instead of a live band

Keep the guest list small

if your really curious, try a wedding in another country they are usually cheap, b/c they limit the amount of invites, could have saved me anywhere from %40 to %70 less then what I could have spent. Also just keep looking around at different deals and ask friends or relatives who they used, sometimes the drop of a name could save you a few bucks

If you like nature most state parks have cabins that you can rent, I know here in TN they are almost always on a lake and really cheap, $65 a night, minimal tax. Then you can get married, party and honeymoon all in the same place. And it is even cheaper in the winter and they have fire places.
