Hi ..This is really a religion question, not a philosophy question... No amount of love for knowledge or comparison of thoughts can resolve the question... If there is a purposeful Creator, He established the purpose... If there is no purposeful Creator, there is no objective purpose.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
I hate to dignify that feedback with a response, but...
If there is a purposeful and intelligent Creator, He would probably deserve the capitalization of.. deity..
In the English language I was taught, "he" is the correct indefinite pronoun... When the antecedent of "he" is unknown, the sex of "he" is also indeterminate. I know it is not politically correct, but it is good English (or was, when I was in school)... :)
Kind regards!

Mankind has no goal. As Margaret Thatcher properly said, "There are men. There are women. There are families. There is no such thing as society." Similarly, there is no obvious, unanimous goal of mankind.
However, philosophically we can talk about a proper goal of man, the right emphasis of a man's existance. I think I can say tautologically without argument that the anomoly of man is that he lives a knowingly mortal life that will come to an end. A human normally wants to be able to say, "I can bear my eventual death because I didn't waste my life, I spent it in pursuit of a worthy goal."
My experience and search in life have led me to conclude that his goal should be the attainment and development of eidetic, prophetically predictive, epistemic systems. Briefly, before a man's life ends he should have found an improvement in epistemology that can be shared and passed on.
And the standard by which that man can adjudge his acomplishment is a universal philosophical standard, and that simply has to be realism. Otherwise we devolve into an argument about the prettiest hallucination. The epistemic goal, when accomplished, is at once so generous and so enlightening that it unburdens even those entirely unknown to the mortal seeker. To find those heirs to better epistemology, again, we need realism.
And I think that the epistemic goal, judged by realism, surpasses any sentimental abiity to "realize the god within ouselves." I speculate that the generousity and universality of the accomplishment exceed even the hypnotic beauty of attaining superconsciousness.
Very roughly, let me put it this way: the Greek Diogenes accomplishes more with his lantern and his quest than the sanscritic Shiva with his dances.

Your answer sounds good.
I think though, you might better express it like this. The goal of life is not to realize the god within ourselves, but to "See God." You are missing the god in others and the god all around you when you limit yourself as you did. God is everywhere, and in every thing. To understand god you have to always be be looking for god, trying to recognize god, and hoping to understand god. This is not just a religious tenet this is a philosophical axiom as well. No matter what the definition of god, or the creator may be, unless you look for it you can never hope to fathom it. Aristotle once said you can pass something up everyday and never see it, then you see it magnified and suddenly you recognize it even in the smallest of size. As for the reality of life, the reality is you will never succeed in accomplishing your goal. For that to happen you would have to become god, be god. That is a metaphysical and physical impossibility, two separate things becoming the same thing, not similar, but one and the same. It is not that you are destined to fail at your goal, it is merely thatyou are not god, and can't be or god does not exist. So in order to always see god, you can never be god, only godlike. Once again this is all philosophical. If you don't believe in god or a creator, then for you god does not exist, or does he. God is a great unknown. Replace the word god with chaos and the philosophy I am giving you still holds true. You are seeking to understand the great unknown, that which as no order to it. As we create order in the universe we find disorder is still all around us. And yet we keep striving to learn more. I hope this helped. If not keep looking, it might.

u ask a question w a million ans...there are people who r going to agree w u and others that will not...because it is a matter of opinion, it is just like saying that such a person is real hot, maybe u agree maybe not, it is personal. But I think that there is something that everybody will agree, we all want to be happy so we spend our lives trying to find that happiness...now some people find it in religion, others money, beauty, etc... I like what u think is our goal, I think our goal is to find what makes us important in this wd, why the universe needs us, and trying to be the best person that one can be...that is at least my goal, I know the ans to the first one, still working on the last one, I find the second one to be a life journey, an internal battle.

The goal of mankind is usually found on one of two plains:
1. An Earthly minded goal, for example riches, fame, power, etc.
2. An eternal minded goal, for example Heaven, God, eternal afterlife.
The reality of life is that this life is a short span of preparation in order to reconcile ourselves to the God of the Universe and His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Christ created mankind in order to have a people who would choose of their own free will to have an eternal relationship with Him and spend eternity in the bliss of His presence.

life at this point is this.
Learn who Jehovah is and listen to him. He is your creator.
Learn who Jesus is and listen to him. Because he is God's son and he was sent to tell us about God and his Will.
The Kingdom of God is coming. A government from Heaven. Rule by Jesus (designated King from Jehovah).
Life now is to study the Bible with one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Get Baptised when you come to love Jehovah.
Your future....the Real Life on Paradise earth.
That simply stated in a Book that Jehovah gave man, the Bible.
okay here are the references in order.
JOHN 17:3 take in knowlege of God and Jesus to attain ever lasting life
JOHN 3:16 God sent his son (not himself)
DANIEL 2:44 The kingdom of God is to rule mankind by Jesus
MATTHEW 24:14, 28:19,20 This good news of the Kingdom Preach by JW, making disciple of Christ and baptism.
PSALMS 37:9,10 Righteous (those the do what God requires) Possess the Earth (not just thinking that we are good by not being bad in our own eyes) do what the Bible says.
REVELATION 21:3,4 future life with no more pain and suffering and death.
That is what life is all about.
Not just working eating and worrying like Jesus stated in Matthew chapter 6.
If you find that you read all these scriptures and want more info.
Attend a meeting at any kingdom hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and they can study the Bible with you for free.
Life is short it seems. But life is not short after you learn the truth

LIFE EXPLAINED.....
On the first day, God created the dog. God said, "Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks past. I will give you a life span of twenty years." The dog said, "That's too long to be barking. Give me ten years, and I'll give you back the other ten." So, God agreed.
On the second day, God created the monkey. God said, "Entertain people, do monkey tricks, make them laugh. I'll give you a twenty-year life span." The monkey said, "How boring...I have to do monkey tricks for twenty years? I don't think so. Dog gave you back ten, so that's what I'll do too, okay?" So, God agreed.
On the third day, God created the cow. God said, "You must go to the field with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer. I will give you a life span of sixty years." The cow said, "That is really a tough life you want me to live for sixty years!
Let me have twenty, and I'll give you back the other forty." So, God agreed again.
On the forth day, God created man. God said, "Eat, sleep, play, marry and enjoy your life. I'll give you twenty years.
Man said, "What?! Only twenty years?! I tell you what...
I'll take my twenty, and the forty the cow gave back, the ten the monkey gave back, and the ten the dog gave back. Now that makes eighty, okay?"
"Okay," said God, "You've got a deal."
So......
That is why the first twenty years we eat, sleep, play, and enjoy ourselves.
Then, for the next forty years, we slave in the sun to support our family.
For the next ten years, we do monkey tricks to entertain the grandchildren.
And for the last ten years we sit on the front porch and bark at everyone.

You answered your own question. I think you wrong and that you are just looking for people to agree with you.
You want the purpose of life defied and reality defined as a universal truth for everyone on the planet and that is just not possible to do any justice to. Life does not boild down to simplicity as such.
What do you mean by "reality" anyway?

Our souls are forms of energy which cannot be created nor destroyed. Souls created this universe and everything in it and the universe cannot exist without the energy of our souls. but our souls in their natural state lack the tangible things we have on earth, our senses and emotions which are stimuli that the soul can experience. our soul occupies our body and reacts to our physical experiences and in turn our body reacts to our souls. ever make yourself mad by thinking about it? that's the control our soul has over our body. we are not just a bunch of nerves and electrical impulses, we are guided by our souls. this planet and mans purpose is to give our souls the ability to experience life. when we die our souls continue in their natural state. The reality of life is that our bodies are essentially a tool that a soul would use to interact with the physical world. the goal of mankind is to achieve what we think our souls were before they occupied a physical being (the grass is always greener...). You asked a deep question, are you capable of swimming to your own understanding?
