if my period is really un-regulated how can you plan for it?

my period didnt come this month and people are saying its jus tnot on track and i'll come back next month or so. im 13 and started last month and didnt get it this month..... how can i be ready for it since i didnt have it on-schedule. i dont want to get it on my panties/pants.

When you first start your period, often it is irregular and catches you by surprise. I always carried seomthing in my purse/backpack to be prepared for that. Also, look for the signs of your period coming (such as bloating, cramping, ect) and then its not so much of a surprise. Also, Id suggest tracking it on a calendar or website (theres lots of free ones to do so), and then u can predict it so much better.

there is really no way to be prepared for it.
sometimes you can get symptoms like cravings for certain flavors, cramping, back ache, fatigue, headache, your breasts may become increasingly tender, etc. it all depends on your own body
if you are worried about making a mess you can wear a thin panty liner. they are very thin but will help to temporarily prevent a mess if you do get it unexpectatly.
if it is that annoying there is always birth control to regulate it, but i don't recommend it. just try to always be prepared by having something with you.
and i suggest you talk to you mom about this...she is the perfect person to talk about periods with since she has had it a lot longer. periods and their symptoms are often genetic and she may be able to give you insight as to her history and your family history of menstration.
